Sarah is a regenerative design strategist engaging in inclusive landscape leadership. She weaves collective experiences in peace building, cultural heritage conservation, environmental education, and humanitarian assistance for around 15 years. She is passionate about designing solutions for communities affected by disasters, displacement, and unsustainable development. With a trauma informed lens, she designs enabling ecosystems of collaboration through innovation labs and learning journeys to transform the narrative of Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) by Designing for Resilience and Regeneration.

Over the last few years my organization, Green Releaf Initaitive, has been prototyping our permaculture gardens on select sites affected by disasters and displacement. At the core of our theory of change is not just “design” but regenerative design that invites us to go beyond sustainability and ways that we can apply it in contexts of aid and development.
