At KNMI I have multiple roles. The main one is climate researcher in climate analysis: using observational and model datasets to investigate how the climate is predictable due to climate change, but also due to El Niño and decadal variability, with an emphasis on extreme weather and climate events. This often comes together in Extreme Event Attribution: estimating the rold of anthropogenic climate change on extreme events. Besides this I also maintain the data and software of the Climate Explorer climate analysis web site, and try to communicate results from climate research to the public.
